    Design & Drawings

Once we establish a design direction, Bradley will create the drawings for your cabinet project. And to give you a sense of what the kitchen or bath will look like in your home, we’ll create a full-color, 3D presentation of your cabinets based on the blueprints.

During this step, you’ll come away with drawings and begin to explore the selection of finishes.

  • 03

    Craftsmanship

With the plan finalized, we begin the process of crafting your new custom cabinets in our shop here in Mifflinburg, PA. It takes sourcing the best woods, using high-tech tools and processes, and relying on expert craftsmen to make the highest quality cabinets for your home.

During this step we will craft cabinets, stain or paint cabinets, and install cabinetry components.

“Great customer service and superior quality! We weren’t exactly sure what style bed frame we wanted as we browsed the showroom. Railside Furnishings was very helpful as we worked through the best choice for us. We love our beautiful cherry bed frame that will last for years to come.”

-Laura R.

“If you are looking for unique, QUALITY furniture, this is the place to go! From the first steps into the showroom, we fell in love with so many of the pieces we saw. Kari was so kind and patient, answering all my questions. She helped me place a customer order and made it happen! All 5 pieces will become a family heirloom for our children. Thank you to everyone at Railside Furnishings!”

-Joanne

“The quality is better than any production furniture. The craftsmanship is immaculate! The brothers who delivered the table were exceedingly careful, neat, and polite. Overall, my experience with Railside Furnishings has been A+. If you want a piece of heirloom furniture in Lycoming County, this is the shop you want to build it.”

-Lucas T.

“We enjoyed working with Kari and Bradley to design two pieces of custom furniture inspired by their display chair seen at a Welcome Center a couple years ago. It was worth the 100-mile drive to choose fabric, leather, hickory wood, and custom height for a reclining chair and matching reclining love seat. The reclining mechanism is easy to use. The cushions are very comfortable. We are very happy with our purchase.”

-Barbara M.

Lycoming County’s story stretches from Native nations along the West Branch Susquehanna to a frontier of mills, trails, and, later, a lumber boom that built “Millionaires’ Row” in Williamsport. Formed on April 13, 1795, from Northumberland County, Lycoming was once vast—lands that later became multiple counties across north-central Pennsylvania. The county’s name was ultimately chosen to honor Lycoming Creek after several proposed names were debated in the legislature. Early “firsts” included gristmills on Muncy Creek, sawmills on Lycoming Creek, and the region’s initial church in what is now Williamsport’s Newberry neighborhood. Today, Lycoming remains Pennsylvania’s largest county by land area, threaded by mountains, forests, and the West Branch that still shapes local life and recreation.
